I'm at a genuine crossroads in my professional life, and I'm hoping that the lines on my palm – especially my fate line – might offer some clarity, or at least a different lens to look through.
I've uploaded two clear photos of my right palm (dominant hand) – one in natural daylight and one with a ring light so the lines are crisp. What my fate line looks like – a detailed description
I've done some basic reading on palmistry, so I know the fate line (also called the Saturn line) runs vertically up the center of the palm, roughly from the wrist toward the middle finger. Here's what mine looks like:
It starts fairly low, near the wrist, but it's not a strong, deep line right from the base. It's more like a faint groove that becomes clearer as it moves upward.
About a quarter of the way up, it intersects with my lifeline – they cross, and then my fate line continues upward, but it gets noticeably fainter after that crossing.
Around the midpoint of my palm, it breaks – there's a visible gap of about 3–4 millimeters, and then it resumes, but slightly offset to the left (toward my thumb side).
After the break, it runs straight up toward the mount of Saturn (under my middle finger), but it doesn't actually reach the base of that finger – it stops about half a centimeter short.
The line overall is moderate in depth – not as deep as my heart line or head line, but visible enough to follow without squinting.
There's also a faint branch that shoots off to the right (toward my ring finger) around the same level as the break – but that branch is very thin and doesn't go far.
I've also included a photo of my left palm for comparison – the fate line there is even fainter, almost invisible, which I've read is common for non-dominant hands. But since my right hand is my active hand, I'm focusing on that.
